To ensure that you receive the highest quality care, our general dentists may refer complex cases to our dental specialists. Our Capitola Dentist, Dr. Jesse Halbleib, has completed the required additional training to offer specialized care in several areas of dental specialty. Some of the services offered at our practice include Periodontics, Orthodontics, and Endodontics.

A Bay Area native, Dr. Halbleib grew up in Santa Clara. He has lived in Santa Cruz since 1986 and has practiced general dentistry at his Capitola office since 1994. He and his wife, Shannon (BSN, RN), have been married for over 20 years. They have three children, Johnathan, Braidan, and Shane, as well as two horses, two dogs, three cats, and two guinea pigs.
After graduating from Wilcox High School in Santa Clara, Dr. Halbleib completed his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of the Pacific (UOP) in 1982. He then earned his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Emory School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.
